Privacy policy

What data this site collects, and what it does not

The short version

ADHD Scot does not collect personal data about visitors. There is no account system, no login, no advertising, and no behavioural tracking. If you email us, we receive your email address and message. That is all.

Who we are

ADHD Scot is an independent information project. For contact details, see the Contact page.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Content is managed via TinaCMS and stored in a GitHub repository.

What data we collect

Data you give us

Email contact: If you email hello@adhdscot.co.uk, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your email with any third party.

Data collected automatically

Cloudflare: The site is served through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request metadata as part of delivering the site and protecting against attacks. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

No analytics: ADHD Scot does not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics service. We do not track which pages you visit, how long you spend on the site, or where you came from.

No advertising: There are no advertising networks or ad tracking pixels on this site.

The self-screener

The ADHD self-screener (ASRS-v1.1) on this site runs entirely in your browser. No responses are transmitted to any server. No results are stored anywhere. Clearing your browser history removes any local trace.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a technical cookie for security purposes. No tracking, advertising, or preference cookies are used.

Third-party links

This site links to external websites including NHS Inform, NICE, GOV.UK, and various charities and professional bodies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their own privacy policies when visiting them.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access any personal data we hold about you
  • Erasure of any personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate personal data

Given that the only personal data we may hold is the content of any email you have sent us, these rights are straightforward to exercise. Email hello@adhdscot.co.uk to make a request.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "last reviewed" date at the bottom of this page. The current version is always at adhdscot.co.uk/privacy.
